Process Biotechnologist

The Opportunity
An established biotechnology manufacturing organisation is seeking a Process Biotechnologist to join its production team on an initial 6-month contract.
This role sits within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment and will support the production of critical raw materials used within the biopharmaceutical industry. The successful candidate will work as part of a manufacturing team responsible for preparing materials, supporting production activities and ensuring products are manufactured in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and dispense raw materials for manufacturing operations.
* Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), batch records and manufacturing instructions accurately.
* Support production activities across multiple stages of the manufacturing process.
* Assist with formulation, preparation and packaging activities.
* Operate within cleanroom environments while maintaining GMP compliance.
* Support equipment setup, operation and routine production requirements.
* Complete manufacturing documentation and production records accurately.
* Adhere to quality, safety and compliance standards at all times.
* Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
* Work collaboratively with production teams to ensure manufacturing targets are achieved.
* Assist with material movement and manual handling activities as required.

Skills & Experience
Essential
* Previous experience working within a manufacturing, production or regulated environment.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures precisely.

* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Good understanding of quality and compliance requirements.
Desirable
* GMP manufacturing experience.
* Biotechnology, pharmaceutical, life science or scientific manufacturing experience.
* Experience working within cleanrooms or controlled environments.
* Experience completing batch documentation or production records.
* Science-related qualifications or technical training.
* Experience supporting production, formulation or process operations.
Working Environment
The role involves working within GMP manufacturing facilities and cleanroom environments. Candidates should be comfortable following strict procedures, wearing appropriate PPE and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and compliance.
Manual handling activities will form part of the role, and applicants should be comfortable undertaking physical tasks associated with manufacturing operations.
