Domestic Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer – South-East London

Location: South-East London
Work Type: Self-Employed / Sub-Contract
Day Rate: £250–£275 per day
OOH: £25 standby + £35 per hour door-to-door

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Self-Employed Domestic Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer to work across South-East London. The role involves carrying out annual landlord gas safety checks (CP12s), servicing, breakdowns, repairs and fault-finding on domestic gas boilers and appliances.

The Package

* £250–£275 per day, depending on qualifications and experience

* Guaranteed day rate

* OOH work available if desired

* £25 per night standby

* £35 per hour door-to-door for OOH work

* 5 days per week, with weekend work available if desired

* All appointments pre-booked via PDA

* Ongoing contract

* Weekly payment – one week in hand

Additional qualifications such as Unvented (G3) and Air Source Heat Pump experience can increase the day rate within the £250–£275 range.

Main Duties

* Annual landlord gas safety checks / CP12s

* Domestic boiler servicing

* Boiler breakdowns and repairs

* Fault finding and diagnostics

* Gas appliance servicing and repair

* Completing all work via PDA

* Providing a professional service to tenants/customers

Requirements

* Proven experience in domestic gas servicing, breakdown, repair and diagnostics

* Current Gas Safe Registration

* ACS qualifications covering relevant domestic appliances, including cookers and fires

* Own van and tools

* Calibrated flue gas analyser

* Minimum £2m Public Liability Insurance

* Additional qualifications such as Unvented (G3) and ASHP advantageous
