Location: Bristol

Salary: Competitive Day Rate | Contract

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Procurement Officer on behalf of one of our clients.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement commercial strategies for approval and support contracts.
Support and develop new contract documentation including seeking legal support and advice as required.
Lead the preparation and negotiation of contracts for acquisition and support phases.
Apply for and progress approvals via CAMS.
Engage with other teams to align procurement activities with policies and guidelines.
Identify and assess the need for exemptions from standard procurement processes.
Prepare exemption packs, including justifications, for submission.
Prepare ITT and ITN documentation in accordance with guidance and procedures.
Manage the tendering process, including drafting and issuing invitations to tender.
Prepare and post notices and ensure compliance with the relevant procurement regulations.
Evaluate supplier bids and proposals, ensuring alignment with project objectives and value for money.
Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure optimal outcomes.
Provide commercial advice and guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
Identify and mitigate commercial risks throughout the acquisition and support phases.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of commercial activities and progress to senior stakeholders.
Support the development of business cases and approval documentation for projects.
Support contract amendments and variations as required.
Conduct post-contract award reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future processes.
Skills and Qualifications:

Previous experience in high level procurement is essential.
Experience working in high compliance sectors.
Experience managing end-to-end procurement exercises and providing procurement advice.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Current SC Clearance.
Location: Bristol
