About this contract

Responsibilities

Financial reporting: Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.

Insurance accounting: Review accounting for premiums, claims, reinsurance, acquisition costs, reserves, and expenses.

Regulatory reporting: Ensure accurate submissions to regulators and, where applicable, Lloyd’s.

Management reporting: Produce financial results, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis for senior management.

Financial controls: Maintain and improve reconciliations, controls, accounting policies, and month-end processes.

Audit: Manage relationships with external auditors and coordinate audit requirements.

Technical accounting: Assess complex transactions and ensure appropriate accounting treatment.

Cash and balance sheet: Monitor cash, investments, receivables, payables, and balance-sheet positions.

Team management: Manage and develop accountants and finance staff.

Business partnering: Work with underwriting, actuarial, claims, risk, tax, and operations teams
