Secondary Cover Supervisors - Halifax

Are you looking to gain classroom experience, kickstart a career in education, or simply enjoy the flexibility of working in local secondary schools?

Academics Educational Recruitment are currently recruiting Secondary Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Halifax. We have daily, long-term, and permanent opportunities - all offering you the chance to step into a teaching environment and make a real impact.

🔍 The Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

Deliver pre-set work to classes in the absence of the regular teacher

Maintain classroom behaviour and ensure a focused learning environment

Offer support to students as needed during lessons

Report back on student progress and behaviour

Work across a variety of subjects and year groups

✅ You'll Need To Have:

A confident and professional approach to classroom management

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Flexibility and reliability

Previous school experience or a background in youth work, coaching, or mentoring is desirable
