HGV Class 1 Driver

Job Description:

Pay: From £15.50 per hour or £17.40 including holiday pay

We are currently looking for a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team in Blackburn, Lancashire, on a temp-to-perm basis.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced driver looking for regular Monday-to-Friday work, with the possibility of 1–2 overnight stays per week when required.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate Class 1 HGV vehicles on assigned routes.
Complete deliveries and collections safely and on time.
Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects or issues.
Comply with all relevant road safety regulations and company procedures.
Complete all required delivery and vehicle paperwork accurately.
Stay overnight when required, with a £25 tax-free overnight allowance.
Take all legally required breaks, which are paid.

Requirements

Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
Previous experience driving Class 1 HGV vehicles.
Good understanding of HGV driving regulations and health & safety requirements.
Ability to work Monday to Friday with flexibility for occasional overnight stays.
Reliable, punctual and professional approach.
Good communication skills.
