About this contract

On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a R&T Wing Design Integrator / Design Engineer for an initial 10 month contract.

Role: R&T Wing Design Integrator / Design Engineer
Pay: £42 per hour via umbrella
Contract: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, 10 months
Location: Filton
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Security Clearnce: BPSS

Main Responsibilities

Define and deliver technical design solutions, studies and investigations in line with airworthiness requirements, covering the full lifecycle from concept to in-service support.
Provide design leadership to internal and external teams, including robust sub-contract management on design activities.
Manage the identification and delivery of change through modification
processes, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to cost and quality standards.
Drive continuous improvement and lean engineering initiatives to enhance team efficiency, 'Right First Time' delivery and lead time reduction.
Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, chief engineers and programmes to ensure effective governance of design and maturity reviews.
Skills Required

Essential

Capability in leading design teams or complex projects with a track record of delivering to cost, time and quality.
Proficiency in design toolsets including CATIA V5, ICC, Zamiz, ECM, Solings and PASS.
Proficiency in the 3DExperience (3Dx) platform, including understanding of its product structure, Business Views (As-Designed, As-Planned, etc.), and navigation within the One Platform environment.
Knowledge of Airbus Configuration Management principles, specifically regarding the use of Configuration Models, Model Versions, Option Groups, and Variant management to support product lifecycle and assembly effectivity.
Sound engineering knowledge of manufacturing and design techniques, procedures and practices within a complex cross-programme environment
