Design Engineer – Fluid Power Solutions

Design the systems that keep industry moving

Do you get a buzz from turning a complex brief into a solution that performs in the real world? We are searching for a talented Design Engineer to join the Technical team and create practical, production-ready fluid power and electrical solutions. Here, your ideas will not stay on the drawing board, you will help bring them to life.

Own the journey from first brief to final sign-off

This is a role with real variety and visible impact. You will partner with application engineers, customers, sales colleagues, project managers and the workshop team to take projects from initial specification through production and customer sign-off. Along the way, you will produce accurate 3D CAD drawings and Bills of Materials, support confident cost estimates, create clear technical documentation, and ensure each solution meets quality management processes, Health and Safety requirements and relevant legislation.

Bring ideas to life: Design efficient, reliable fluid power systems from customer and technical specifications using 3D CAD.
Make every detail count: Produce accurate engineering drawings and comprehensive Bills of Materials for production.
Shape commercially sound solutions: Work closely with pricing colleagues to support system costing.
Solve challenges together: Collaborate with project and workshop teams to manage design changes and maintain delivery schedules.
Communicate with clarity: Create accessible manuals and technical data sheets for internal and external stakeholders.
Build solutions you can be proud to put your name to

You will bring proven fluid power design expertise, experience creating and managing Bills of Materials, and the confidence to contribute to accurate cost estimates. Just as importantly, you will communicate clearly with customers and colleagues, stay organised when priorities compete, and take ownership from challenge to outcome. Strong technical-documentation skills, adaptability, and a sound understanding of Health and Safety and relevant quality standards are essential. Electrical design experience would give you an added advantage, you will see your thinking turn into dependable, real-world engineering. Your work will influence production, support customers and help a collaborative technical team keep raising the bar for innovation, quality and continuous improvement.
