Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Assembler on behalf of one of our clients.
This role is predominantly a practical hands-on role. Supporting various teams & facilities in the provision of mechanical engineering services and assisting in the delivery of mechanical engineering project.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist engineers, technicians and skilled workers with daily tasks.
Load, unload, move and organise materials and equipment.
Prepare work areas, materials and equipment for engineering activities.
Carry out general cleaning and housekeeping duties in the work areas.
Assist with basic assembly, dismantling, as supervised.
Use basic hand tools and equipment safely when trained and authorised.
Follow company health and safety procedures and correctly use required PPE.
Report hazards, damaged equipment, or maintenance issues to supervisors.
Assist with deliveries and storage of materials.
Work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience in an engineering, manufacturing, construction workshop, or similar environment is desirable.
Good practical and manual skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
Reliable and punctual.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physically capable of carrying out manual work and handling materials.
Basic understanding of workplace health and safety.
BPSS Security Clearance or the ability to obtain this.
