Finance Assistant
Location: Manchester
Salary: £28,000-£30,000 per annum
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
Job Type: Full-time
We are currently recruiting for an Finance Assistant to join a busy and growing finance team in Manchester.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their finance career and gain further experience across a range of transactional finance duties.
The Role
As a Finance Assistant, you will provide support across the day-to-day finance function, including:
Processing invoices and payments
Supporting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Raising and processing invoices
Matching invoices to purchase orders
Assisting with bank and account reconciliations
Dealing with finance queries from customers and suppliers
Maintaining accurate financial records
Supporting month-end processes
General finance administration and data entry
Assisting the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Previous experience within a finance or accounts environment
Ideally has experience with AP, AR, invoicing or reconciliations
Confident using Microsoft Excel and other IT systems
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Comfortable working with numbers and financial information
Able to manage their workload and meet deadlines
A good communicator who is confident dealing with internal teams and external contacts
Keen to develop their career within finance
AAT study or relevant finance qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.
