Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher looking for a new opportunity from January 2027?

We are recruiting for a dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a primary school in Gillingham on a full-time contract.

This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of a Year 6 class and play an important part in supporting pupils as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.

The Role

The successful teacher will have full responsibility for their class, including:

Planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the Year 6 curriculum

Managing the classroom and maintaining high expectations

Assessing and monitoring pupil progress

Differentiating learning to meet individual needs

Completing planning, marking and assessment responsibilities

Supporting pupils with their academic and personal development

Working collaboratively with colleagues and the wider school team

What We're Looking For

QTS is required

Previous primary teaching experience, ideally within Year 6

Strong classroom management and organisational skills

Confidence with independent planning and assessment

A positive and committed approach to teaching

Ability to take full responsibility for a class
