Role Details
Location: Birmingham - Calthorpe Road
Position: Inventory Clerk
Duration: 3 months
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Days, Monday to Friday, 07:30-16:00
Compensation: £13.53 per hour
Key Responsibilities This position is primarily warehouse and logistics based. A typical assignment includes:
Completing daily cycle-count lists against assigned schedules.
Physically locating and counting inventory. Verifying part numbers and storage locations.
Recording physical count quantities. Performing second or recounts where differences are identified.
Flagging discrepancies for investigation. Timely escalation of discrepancies is a key measure of performance.
Checking stock-location accuracy. Identifying misplaced or incorrectly labelled inventory.
Assisting with physical inventory and audit preparation. Supporting the Inventory team with routine inventory-control tasks and location-control activities.
The ideal candidate:
Inventory counting experience is required
The role may require standing and walking for extended periods
You will be working in cold rooms requiring +2 to +8 degrees. Working in freezers at -20 degrees is also required.
