Freelance Site / Setting Out Engineer – Coventry

KTS/Keyman Personnel are seeking experienced Freelance Site / Setting Out Engineers for a long-term civil engineering project in the Coventry area on behalf of our client.
This is an excellent opportunity for hands-on Site Engineers with strong groundworks and civil engineering experience to join a busy project and play an important role in the successful delivery of the works.
The Opportunity
As a Freelance Site / Setting Out Engineer, you will be responsible for accurate setting out and surveying on site, working closely with the site management team to ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Setting out, levelling and surveying for groundworks and civil engineering works
* Working accurately from engineering drawings and specifications
* Using Total Station and GPS surveying equipment
* Carrying out surveys and recording as-built information
* Maintaining accurate site records and engineering documentation
* Supporting QA and ensuring works meet required standards
* Liaising with project managers, site supervisors and other members of the delivery team
* Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with relevant health and safety requirements
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven UK experience as a Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer
* Strong experience within groundworks and civil engineering
* Confident and competent using Total Station and GPS equipment
* Experience with setting out, levels, surveys and as-builts
* Good understanding of site QA procedures and engineering documentation
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Able to work independently within a busy site environment
* Valid CSCS card
* Relevant civil engineering qualification or equivalent experience
