Commercial & Corporate Director

Full Time | 36 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Contract role for a minimum of 6 months | likely to be extended to 9 months & could become permanent
Salary up to £70,000 + excellent benefits (depending on experience)
Search Consultancy are delighted to be working with one of our long-standing clients based in Kirkcaldy to recruit this key contract role for a minimum of 6 months.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, this pivotal role for the business will provide strategic leadership across corporate services, commercial development, governance, finance, HR, marketing, customer engagement, and business development. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving organisational sustainability, identifying new income opportunities, and helping shape the future direction of the organisation.
Duties involved in this role will include:
* Supporting the Chief Executive and Executive Team in delivering organisational strategy and business objectives
* Leading the development and implementation of the organisation's commercial strategy to maximise income generation and long-term sustainability
* Providing strategic oversight of finance, HR, governance, IT, customer engagement, marketing and business development functions
* Ensuring robust financial planning, budgeting, audit compliance and performance management across the organisation
* Supporting and advising the Board and various governance committees, ensuring all statutory and regulatory requirements are met
* Leading strategic business development initiatives, identifying new opportunities for growth and partnership working
* Driving organisational improvement, innovation and performance through effective leadership and change management
* Overseeing health and safety, risk management, data protection and corporate compliance activities
* Acting as an ambassador for the business with key stakeholders, partners and external organisations
* Leading and developing senior management teams, fostering a positive and high-performing organisational culture
In order to be considered for this role your skills and experience should include:
* Significant executive-level leadership experience within a large organisation - this experience is ESSENTIAL and candidates who have this experience from within either the Public Sector or the Leisure industry would be very much preferred
* Proven success in developing and delivering organisational strategy, business plans and budgets and identifying income generation opportunities
* Experience of effectively managing multiple corporate functions - preferably finance, HR, governance, IT, customer engagement, marketing and business development
* First class communication & stakeholder management experience as you will be required to influence at all levels across the business
