Interim Operational Procurement Manager

📍 Hertfordshire (Hybrid) | 💷 Up to £600 per day (Inside IR35)

We're recruiting for an experienced Operational Procurement Manager to join a major UK infrastructure organisation on an interim basis. You'll lead operational procurement activities, drive compliance with supplier frameworks, improve purchasing performance, and help establish a centralised buying desk model across the business.

Key responsibilities:

Lead day-to-day operational procurement activities.
Drive cost avoidance and procurement best practice.
Manage supplier performance and preferred supplier compliance.
Develop and improve procurement processes and SOPs.
Analyse procurement data to support decision-making.
Support supplier on-boarding, invoice resolution, and governance controls.Requirements:

Proven operational procurement experience in a complex environment.
Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills.
Experience with procurement systems, reporting, and process improvement.
MCIPS/CIPS or infrastructure/utilities experience would be advantageous.This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a significant procurement transformation programme within a large infrastructure business.
