Employee Development Lead – 12-Month Contract
Location: West Burton
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days per week on site
Rate: £250–£350 per day
IR35: Inside IR35
Contract Length: 12 months
We’re looking for an experienced Employee Development Lead to join a complex and specialist organisation on a 12-month contract and play a key role in developing the organisation’s people, capability and learning strategy.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Learning & Development, Organisational Development or HR professional who enjoys working with stakeholders, designing meaningful development programmes and creating practical solutions that support employee growth.
What will you be doing?
You’ll take a lead role across a range of employee development activities, including:
Designing, delivering and evaluating learning and development programmes.
Conducting learning needs analysis and translating business requirements into effective development solutions.
Designing career pathways and capability-building initiatives.
Facilitating workshops, training sessions, onboarding and development interventions.
Managing Learning Management Systems (LMS), including content, reporting and learner engagement.
Working with stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams to understand capability requirements.
Supporting talent development and early careers initiatives.
Using learning data and insight to evaluate effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
Managing learning and development projects from initial requirements through to implementation.
What are we looking for?
We’re keen to hear from candidates with:
* Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in Learning & Development, HR, Organisational Development, Education or a related field.
* Proven experience designing and delivering L&D programmes within a complex organisation.
* Strong workshop and training facilitation skills.
* Hands-on experience managing an LMS or digital learning platform.
* Experience conducting learning needs analysis and developing effective learning solutions.
* Strong stakeholder management, communication and project management skills.
* The ability to work confidently across multidisciplinary teams and use data to improve learning outcomes.
Desirable
Experience or qualifications in any of the following would be advantageous:
* CIPD Level 5/7 or an equivalent L&D qualification.
* Coaching or professional development qualifications.
* Organisational capability or talent development.
* Early careers, graduate or apprenticeship programmes.
* Technical, engineering, scientific, manufacturing, infrastructure or highly regulated environments.
* E-learning development and learning analytics.
* Organisational change and talent management.
* UK skills frameworks.
