Sellick Partnership is recruiting for an experienced Programme Adviser to support delivery of a high‑profile national programme involving local government, central government and wider public‑sector partners. Working within a collaborative programme team, you will help ensure delivery is effective, evidence‑based and aligned to national priorities.

This role suits professionals with strong analytical capability, experience operating in complex public‑sector environments, and confidence engaging with councils, combined authorities and government departments.

Key responsibilities of the Programme Advisor includes:

Analyse and challenge programme delivery information gathered through reporting returns and regular contact with project leads.
Support risk and issue management, ensuring documentation and performance information remain accurate and up to date.
Act as a link between senior leadership, programme management colleagues and regional teams to ensure information flows effectively.
Refine and maintain programme processes for assessing, administering and monitoring activity and funding.
Lead regional reporting cycles, including updates and end‑of‑phase summaries.
Provide analysis and insight to support senior boards and programme governance.
Work with engagement colleagues to support events, briefings, communications and learning materials.
Coordinate meetings, distribute papers, capture actions and support specific programme activity as directed.
Prepare reports, policy papers and briefings on sensitive and complex issues.
Represent programme interests at stakeholder meetings when required.
Build and maintain relationships with programme managers, local government officers, central government specialists and other partners.
Undertake research and gather intelligence to support continuous improvement.
Lead specific projects as directed by senior leadership.
Promote innovation, share learning and contribute to a culture of curiosity and continuous improvement.The successful Programme Advisor will have:

A broad understanding of local and/or central government and how they operate.
Experience managing a complex workload and meeting deadlines across multiple projects.
Strong analytical capability, including data analysis and performance monitoring.
Experience researching and analysing information from multiple sources and producing clear, comprehensive papers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence advising stakeholders.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively within a matrix environment.
Political sensitivity, discretion and professionalism when dealing with senior officers and elected members.
