Senior Engineer

My client is a leading contractor in the Steel frame and Groundworks sector. We are currently recruiting a Senior Engineer to complete an 9 month contract.

Qualifications

* Senior Engineer with experience on large industrial, logistics or commercial construction projects.

* Strong knowledge of groundworks, drainage, reinforced concrete, steel frame and external works.

* Experience managing QA procedures and ITPs.

* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

* Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).

* Valid CSCS Card.

* Proficient with Leica or Trimble surveying equipment.

Responsibilities

* Lead all on-site engineering activities, including setting out and technical support.

* Review and coordinate drawings, specifications and design information.

* Oversee quality assurance procedures, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and temporary works.

* Produce and maintain accurate site records, including as-built drawings and technical documentation.

* Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications and programme requirements.

* Monitor quality standards across all engineering activities.

* Support the Site and Project Management team with technical expertise.

* Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.

* Coordinate subcontractors and resolve technical issues on site.
