Project Manager – Contract
We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a construction contractor on a long-term project in Reading.
The project is a six-storey hotel development and has now progressed to the structural stage, with the steel frame being installed and upcoming works including joists, brickwork, windows and associated packages.
This is a site-based operational role, and we are particularly interested in speaking with Project Managers who have previously worked for a subcontractor and are comfortable managing the day-to-day delivery of multiple trade packages.
The Role
Manage the day-to-day delivery of works on site
Oversee the steel frame and subsequent construction packages
Coordinate joists, brickwork, windows and associated trades
Manage and coordinate subcontractors and site teams
Monitor programme and ensure works remain on schedule
Maintain high standards of quality and health & safety
Manage RAMS and ensure safe systems of work are followed
Liaise with the wider project team and attend site meetings
Identify and resolve site issues to keep works progressing
Requirements
Proven experience as a Project Manager on multi-storey construction projects
Previous experience working for a subcontractor
Strong experience managing structural and follow-on trade packages
Good knowledge of steel frame construction
Strong site-based operational experience
Excellent health & safety knowledge

Location: Reading
Rate: £400 per day
Hours: 7:30am – 5:30pm
Contract: Long-term
