Desirable requirements

A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification would be desirable, together with GCSE English and mathematics or equivalent qualifications.

Experience supporting learners with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, behaviours of concern or communication needs would be beneficial. Knowledge of positive behaviour support, visual timetables, Makaton or other communication methods would also be advantageous.

Paediatric first aid, relevant SEND training and an Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service would be welcomed.
