Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join an outstanding primary special school. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or ECT with a genuine interest in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The school caters for pupils with significant additional educational needs across the primary age range and provides a warm, nurturing and highly supportive learning environment.
The Role
As a SEND Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils, while working closely with support staff, families and other professionals.
You will:
Plan and deliver creative, engaging and differentiated lessons.
Support pupils with a range of SEND needs, including Autism.
Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
Develop positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers and professionals.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider school staff.
Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
Promote independence, confidence and a love of learning.
Contribute to the wider life of the school.
Take an active role in your own professional development.
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for a teacher who is:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an ECT.
Experienced in, or passionate about, working with pupils with SEND and Autism.
Warm, patient, resilient and nurturing.
Creative and enthusiastic in their approach to teaching.
Organised and committed to high standards of teaching and learning.
Able to build strong relationships with pupils and colleagues.
Committed to inclusion and improving outcomes for children with additional needs.
A strong team player with excellent communication skills.Experience within a special school, SEND provision, autism setting or mainstream school with SEND experience would be highly desirable.
