PAYE & £50 for Teacher Referral

We’re working closely with a genuinely welcoming primary school in the BS4 area, the kind of place where staff look out for each other and every child is known by name. They’re looking for a KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible and become a valued part of the classroom.

This is a brilliant opportunity if you’re looking for something stable and meaningful. The role will run for the rest of the academic year and into October 2026, with a strong chance of becoming permanent for the right person.

What you’ll be doing:

Supporting children across Key Stage 1 in a lively, engaging classroom
Working alongside the class teacher to bring lessons to life
Delivering small group interventions and 1:1 support where it matters most
Providing targeted support for pupils with additional needs
Helping build confidence, independence, and a real love of learning
Creating a calm, inclusive space where every child feels supported
What we’re looking for:

Experience in a KS1 setting, school-based experience is a bonus
Some experience with SEN, or a genuine interest in developing your skills here
A calm, patient approach and a natural ability to connect with young learners
Someone reliable, proactive, and ready to get stuck in
A team player who builds strong relationships with both pupils and staff
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to get one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
