Remedy Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Site Manager to join a specialist SEMH school in East London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hands-on professional to play an important role in maintaining a safe, secure and well-functioning school environment.

About the Role

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the school premises. You will ensure the site is maintained to a high standard, health and safety requirements are met, and any maintenance or facilities issues are dealt with efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

Taking overall responsibility for the day-to-day upkeep, maintenance and security of the school site
Liaising with contractors and overseeing repairs and maintenance work
Carrying out routine site inspections and health & safety checks
Assisting with fire safety procedures, risk assessments and compliance requirements
Managing the opening and closing of the school premises when required
Monitoring and maintaining stock, equipment and relevant site documentation
Reporting and responding promptly to any site, maintenance or security concerns
Confidently using school systems, email and Microsoft Office for administrative tasks

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Previous experience working as a Site Manager, Caretaker, Facilities Manager or in a similar role
Excellent IT skills and confidence using computers, electronic systems and Microsoft Office
A good understanding of health & safety procedures and compliance
Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
A proactive, dependable and practical approach to work
The ability to work independently and take ownership of site-related responsibilities
Previous experience within a school or educational setting is highly desirable
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
