QTS Humanities Tutor

Inspire Curiosity Through Personalised Learning

We're looking for a QTS-qualified Humanities Tutor to support children and young people across Dorset through tailored 1:1 tuition.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll help learners engage with subjects such as History, Geography, Religious Studies, and other Humanities disciplines. Many of the students we support require alternative educational provision and benefit from a tutor who can adapt learning to their individual needs while building confidence and encouraging academic progress.

This is an excellent opportunity for qualified teachers who enjoy bringing subjects to life and helping students develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting
Experience teaching Humanities subjects at secondary level
Ability to deliver engaging and personalised learning sessions
Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally within Dorset

Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
ADHD
Anxiety and school avoidance
EHCPs and additional educational needsEvery learner is unique, so you'll have the opportunity to tailor your approach and support students in a way that helps them thrive.
