We're recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Technician to join a leading manufacturing and processing operation in Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly automated production environment, supporting critical plant equipment, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and contributing to major engineering projects.

This role would suit an experienced maintenance professional with a strong electrical background who enjoys fault finding, problem-solving, and working as part of a high-performing engineering team.

The Role

As a Multi-Skilled Technician, you'll be responsible for delivering planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance activities across a complex processing facility. You'll play a key role in maximising equipment availability, improving plant performance, and ensuring all engineering activities meet required safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities across site assets.

* Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.

* Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.

* Ensure maintenance records and asset information are accurately maintained within the CMMS system.

* Assist with delivery of capital projects and equipment upgrades.

* Work closely with contractors and external suppliers when required.

* Support plant optimisation and preventative maintenance improvement activities.

* Participate in breakdown response and first-line engineering support.

* Maintain high standards of health, safety, quality, and housekeeping.

* Contribute to business continuity planning and critical asset management.

What We're Looking For

Essential

* Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship.

* Strong background in either Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance.

* Experience working within manufacturing, FMCG, process, chemical, food & drink, pharmaceutical, or similar industrial environments.

* Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

* Strong understanding of preventative maintenance principles.

* Experience working within a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS).

* Commitment to health, safety, and continuous improvement.

Desirable

* Experience with Siemens PLCs and fault-finding.

* Knowledge of process plant, fluid handling, or distillation equipment.

* Experience with VSDs, instrumentation, and control systems.

* CompEx qualification.

* Knowledge of hazardous area environments (ATEX).

* Mechanical maintenance experience including pumps, pipework, and fluid transfer systems.

What's on Offer?

* Opportunity to work for a highly respected manufacturing business.

* Long-term career development and training opportunities.

* Exposure to significant engineering and improvement projects.

* Supportive team environment with a strong safety culture.

* Competitive salary and benefits package.

If you're a proactive engineer who enjoys solving problems, improving equipment reliability, and making a genuine contribution to site performance, we'd love to hear from you.
