Fire Engineer / Fire Project Manager
The client is looking for a Fire Engineer / Fire Project Manager to oversee and coordinate fire safety across an airport transformation programme. The focus is on managing interfaces, risks, dependencies and construction phases from a fire safety perspective, while drawing on specialist fire SMEs when required.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the central point of contact between Technical Services, Airport Fire Safety, project teams and contractors.
Coordinate fire safety reviews and ensure recommendations are implemented.
Manage fire safety risks, dependencies and interfaces across multiple concurrent projects.
Oversee interim fire strategies, construction phasing and operational impacts.
Ensure alignment between project delivery, airport operations and fire safety requirements.
Report fire safety issues and decisions through programme governance forums.
Support operational readiness, phased handovers and ongoing fire safety compliance.
Ideal Candidate
5-10 years' experience, although attitude and enthusiasm are valued over tenure.
Strong engineering background with project/programme management skills.
Able to understand complex systems and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Working knowledge of fire systems, ideally in an airport environment, but the ability to learn quickly is more important.
Available to work 2-3 days per week on site at Stansted Airport.The role is Insidie IR35 with a daily rate £450-£470 a day
