We are looking for an organised and proactive Security Administrator to join our team in Plymouth on a 3-month fixed-term contract, with potential to extend. This role requires someone who has previous experience working in a Security Administrator role and can confidently support day-to-day security administration processes, maintain accurate records, and provide a professional and efficient service to candidates, employees and stakeholders.

The Role
As Security Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting security clearance, vetting, access control and general administration activities. You will work closely with internal teams, candidates, employees and external stakeholders to ensure all documentation is completed accurately and processed in line with required timescales.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the administration of security clearance and vetting processes, ensuring all paperwork is completed and submitted correctly.
* Maintain accurate records, trackers and databases relating to security checks, access requirements and compliance documentation.
* Keep the internal tracker updated accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring all clearance, access and onboarding information is kept up to date.
* Liaise with candidates, employees, managers and external contacts to request, chase and verify required information.
* Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion at all times.
* Monitor outstanding actions and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
* Work with employees to resolve any queries
* Ensure all administration is completed in line with internal procedures, security requirements and data protection standards.
* Provide general administrative support to the wider team as required.
About You
* Previous experience working as a Security Administrator is essential.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive information accurately.
* Confident communicator with the ability to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
* Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
* Must be able to acheieve BPSS/ SC Clearance
* Competent using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook and Word.
* A professional, discreet and reliable approach to work.
* Experience supporting security clearance, BPSS, DBS, SC clearance or site access processes is highly desirable.
