Site Manager - Swimming Pool Refurbishment

Rate: £260 per day

The Role
We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a 9-week swimming pool refurbishment project at a prestigious hotel in Manchester City Centre.
This is a client and guest-facing role within a live hotel environment, requiring a proactive and highly organised Site Manager who can take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the works, with health and safety as the highest priority.
Scope of Works
The project will involve the refurbishment of a swimming pool fit-out located on the 7th floor of the hotel, including:
Demolition of the existing swimming pool.
Temporary works, including scaffolding.
Remediation works to weathered steel.
Repair and replacement of areas of MF ceilings.
First-fix electrical works.
Tiling at both low and high level.
General finishing works throughout.
Coordination and management of multiple trades and site activities.
Key Responsibilities
The successful Site Manager will be responsible for:
Managing the day-to-day running of the site and coordinating all site activities.
Ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
Maintaining the highest standards of health and safety within a live hotel environment.
Managing site logistics, deliveries, access and material movements.
Coordinating works around hotel guests, staff and the client's operations.
Liaising closely with the Project Manager, client and subcontractors.
Ensuring programme and quality requirements are met.
Managing subcontractors and ensuring works are completed in accordance with the project requirements.
Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach at all times.
About You
We are looking for a Site Manager with:
Proven experience managing refurbishment or fit-out projects.
Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures.
Experience working in live buildings or occupied environments.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
The ability to manage complex site logistics and multiple trades.
A professional, proactive and hands-on approach.
The confidence to deal directly with clients and members of the public/guests.
