Job Role: Mechanical Site Supervisor AP

Salary / Rate: £450 - £500 / day

Location: Beckton Sewage Treatment Works

Our client is looking to strengthen their Construction team with a Mechanical Site Supervisor AP based at Beckton. Reporting directly to the Senior Commissioning Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and controlling all mechanical AP site activities, ensuring works are delivered efficiently, to specification and within the contract programme, whilst maintaining the highest standards of health and safety and quality.

About the Role:

As a Mechanical Site Supervisor AP, you'll be responsible for:

Supporting the Site Manager in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees, supply chain partners and visitors.
Obtaining Appointed Person status through the client's Mechanical AP assessment.
Providing mechanical isolations in line with project works.
Managing and maintaining mechanical ITPs.
Ensuring all relevant HS&E documents are correctly recorded, reviewed and maintained to the latest revision.
Checking that all relevant documents adequately describe the work to be carried out.
Reviewing and commenting on Method Statements and Work Instructions as required by the Project Execution Plan.
Supervising works to ensure they are carried out in accordance with Method Statements and Work Instructions.
Recording progress of works on record drawings or other suitable means where required.
Recording non-conformances and improvement opportunities and agreeing actions with the person responsible for the works.
Ensuring ITPs are completed progressively as the work develops and that a quality installation is achieved.

About you:

Several years' experience working within the Water or Energy sector.
Strong understanding of pipework fabrication, welding and erection.
Ability to recognise quality welding.
Experience punching and snagging pipelines in accordance with Isometric, GA and P&ID drawings.
Previous experience in an Appointed Person role.
HNC / HND in Mechanical Engineering, or a strong apprenticeship in pipework and welding alongside relevant experience.
SSSTS.
CSCS.
First Aid.
