Class 1 LGV Driver

Working Hours

* Start times generally between 05:00 and 07:00

* Typical working day of 10–12 hours

* Ongoing work available

* Work may involve different depots and routes depending on operational requirements

* Day and night shifts available

Key Responsibilities

* Safely operate a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle.

* Collect containers from the port.

* Complete deliveries to customer sites.

* Carry out export loads where required.

* Return containers to the port or yard.

* Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects.

* Ensure all loads are transported safely and securely.

* Complete delivery and collection documentation accurately.

* Comply with all relevant driver hours, tachograph and health & safety regulations.

* Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach at all times.

Requirements

* Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence.

* Minimum 1 year's container driving experience preferred.

* Felixstowe Port Pass/Card – essential.

* Valid Driver CPC.

* Valid Digital Tachograph Card.

* Good knowledge of driver hours and tachograph regulations.

* Reliable, professional and safety-conscious.

* Physically fit and comfortable working 10–12 hour shifts.
