Take Your Teaching Skills Beyond the Classroom

We're looking for QTS-qualified Tutors to support children and young people across Hampshire through personalised 1:1 tuition.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide tailored educational support to learners who require alternative provision. Students may be of varying ages and abilities, and many require a flexible approach to help them engage with learning, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes.

We're interested in hearing from tutors with experience in any subject area, including English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Primary, Functional Skills, and more.

Subjects: All Subject Specialisms Considered
Start Date: September
Hours: Flexible
Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour
Type: 1:1 Tuition

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting
Experience in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, learning support, or similar educational roles
Ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons
Experience supporting students with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Patient, adaptable, and professional approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally across Hampshire

Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

Anxiety and school avoidance
