Maths Tutor

Use Your Skills to Help Learners Achieve Their Potential

We're looking for a Maths Tutor to support children and young people across Havant and the surrounding areas through personalised 1:1 tuition.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide tailored support to learners who require alternative educational provision. Students may be working at a range of levels and often benefit from dedicated support that helps strengthen mathematical understanding, improve confidence, and increase engagement with learning.

Whether you're supporting learners with core numeracy skills or helping students work towards qualifications, you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine difference through targeted, individualised support.

Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour
Type: 1:1 Tuition

Requirements

Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
Strong Maths subject knowledge
Ability to deliver engaging and personalised learning sessions
Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Patient, adaptable, and encouraging approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally around Havant and surrounding areas

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
ADHD
Anxiety and school avoidance
EHCPs and additional educational needsEvery learner has different strengths and challenges, so you'll be encouraged to adapt your approach to help them achieve meaningful progress.
