We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Deputy Nursery Manager to join a welcoming nursery setting in Wotton-under-Edge on a full-time maternity cover basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident practitioner with leadership experience who is committed to delivering outstanding care and education for young children.

Your Responsibilities:

Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery
Lead, motivate, and develop staff to maintain high standards of care and education
Ensure the nursery operates in line with EYFS requirements and nursery policies
Promote a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children
Build strong relationships with children, parents, carers, and external professionals
Support staff with observations, assessments, and planning
Take responsibility for the nursery in the Manager's absence
Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are adhered to at all times

Requirements:

Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (minimum requirement)
Previous experience in a senior nursery role, such as Room Leader or Deputy Manager
Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
A proactive, nurturing, and professional approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Right to work in the UK
