About this contract

Prepare surfaces for wet painting, cleaning, blowing down, bunging, sanding and masking.

Mix paint products to the correct ratios using technical data sheets.
Apply wet primers, paints and coatings evenly, avoiding overspray.
Carry out quality checks and inspect for runs, pinholes, bare spots and poor coverage.
Refinish areas where required.
Minimise paint/material waste.
Use air-assisted and airless spray pumps.
Fill, sand and smooth surfaces before spraying.
Use and maintain air-fed respiratory equipment.

Experience/skills they were looking for

At least 1 year's experience in an industrial production blasting/painting environment.
Mechanical knowledge and ability to use power tools and hand tools.
Ability to work to high-quality standards in a fast-paced production environment.
Good attention to detail.
Strong work ethic, reliability and positive attitude.
Knowledge of different coating types and their applications was an advantage
