About this contract

We are recruiting a Working Electrical Supervisor to lead a team of electricians carrying out electrical installation work on vessels in Pembroke Dock.

This is a hands-on supervisory role, combining day-to-day leadership of the electrical team with active involvement in installation activities. The successful candidate will have a strong marine electrical background and a thorough understanding of marine installation standards and practices.

Responsibilities

Supervise the electrical team on a day-to-day basis, including task allocation, progress monitoring and quality checks.
Coordinate with client representatives and production teams to ensure work progresses efficiently and any issues are resolved promptly.
Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with site procedures and marine industry standards.
Remain hands-on with installation activities as required, including cable installation, termination, glanding and testing.
Interpret and work from electrical drawings, schematics and installation instructions.
Maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure installations meet required quality standards.
Support the planning and delivery of work packages to agreed schedules.

Requirements

Essential

Proven experience in electrical installation within a marine environment.
Experience working on vessel builds, refits or shipyard projects.
Previous supervisory, chargehand or team leader experience.
Ability to manage and coordinate a small team while remaining actively involved in installation work.
Strong understanding of marine electrical installation standards and vessel-based working practices.
Experience working from electrical drawings and schematics.
Commitment to safe systems of work and quality delivery.

Desirable

Experience with fault finding and testing activities.
Previous experience coordinating directly with client representatives and production teams.

The successful candidate will be capable of leading electrical installation activities, maintaining quality and safety standards, coordinating effectively with client and production teams, and delivering work packages on schedule while remaining hands-on when required.

Contract Details

Location: Pembroke Dock
Start Date: 14th September
Contract Length: Minimum 2 month contract
Hours: Unlimited hours available
Pay: Competitive hourly rate dependent on experience and supervisory background
Rate Structure: One rate for all hours worked
