About this contract

VGC Group are currently recruiting for an Electrician (Installation Experience) to join our team on a major project in Leiston, Suffolk.
The Electrician is responsible for the inspection, modification, maintenance and commissioning of temporary and permanent electrical installations, on construction sites.

Basic pay rate: £24.14per hour PAYE (enhanced rates available after 39 hours)
Shift- Mon - Fri (Potential for Weekend Work). 12 hour days
Start Date: ASAP, subject to gaining vetting
Lodge pay is available for the successful candidate, if they meet the criteria.
The successful candidate will have:

-Level 3 Electrical Installation Qualification
-18th Edition Regs
-2391 City and Guilds - Level 3
-ECS (Gold Card)
-Drivers Licence
-IPAF Operator
-PASMA
-Valid CITB HSE

As the Electrician, your responsibilities may include:

-Installation, modification, maintenance and commissioning of temporary and permanent electrical installations.
- the installation of temporary power distribution systems, site transformers, generators, welfare unit supplies, temporary lighting, and associated site services, as well as permanent electrical systems including containment, power distribution, lighting, switchgear and final circuits.
-Ensure all temporary electrical systems are safe, compliant with BS 7671, BS 7909 (where applicable)
-Safe and compliant HSE guidance and company procedures
-Enable safe site operations throughout the construction project
-Performing regular checks and upkeep on existing electrical systems to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.
-Identifying and resolving electrical problems quickly and effectively.
