Engineering @ 365 is recruiting on behalf of a growing engineering business that is looking for an experienced Structural Steel Fabricator to join their workshop team.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Structural Steel Fabricator with a strong background in structural steel fabrication, who is confident working from technical drawings and takes pride in producing high-quality steelwork.
The Role
As a Structural Steel Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling structural steel components to engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring all work is completed accurately and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Fabricating structural steel components from engineering drawings
* Measuring and marking out steel sections
* Cutting, drilling and preparing steelwork for fabrication
* Assembling structural steel components
* Tack welding and fitting components where required
* Operating fabrication machinery and workshop equipment safely
* Working accurately to technical drawings and specifications
* Maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship
* Ensuring the workshop is kept clean and organised
* Following all relevant health and safety procedures
Requirements
* Previous experience in structural steel fabrication
* Ability to read and interpret technical and fabrication drawings
* Experience measuring, marking out, cutting and assembling steel sections
* Confident using workshop fabrication equipment
* Strong attention to detail
* Quality-focused approach to your work
* Reliable and proactive attitude
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
