A welcoming infant school in Kingston is looking to appoint an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team on a long-term basis. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to support young learners with additional needs, helping them to develop confidence, independence and a love for learning.

Staff work closely together to ensure every pupil receives the support they need to flourish both academically and personally. The school offers a supportive working environment, excellent leadership and a strong focus on staff development.
Main Responsibilities

Support pupils with Special Educational Needs on a one-to-one and small group basis.
Work within the school's SEN provision and mainstream classrooms.
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging learning activities.
Support children's communication, social interaction and emotional wellbeing.
Follow EHCPs and individual learning plans.
Encourage independence and positive behaviour.
Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.About You

Previous experience supporting children with SEN is desirable.
Patient, caring and resilient.
Passionate about inclusive education.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Flexible, reliable and proactive.
