Job Description:

Overview

We are seeking motivated and experienced groundworks operatives to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery such as dumpers and rollers to facilitate efficient earth-moving and compaction processes on construction sites. Your expertise will help ensure the smooth progress of projects, maintaining safety standards and high-quality workmanship throughout every phase of construction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale infrastructure projects while honing your operational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

* Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.

* Basic groundworks and drainage

* Receive instruction from seniors to complete the work to the best of your ability

* Coordinate with site supervisors and other equipment operators to plan daily tasks and optimize workflow.

* Follow all safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to site safety guidelines at all times.

* Maintain accurate records of machine usage, maintenance schedules, and operational logs for project documentation.

Requirements

* Proven experience working on a civil engineering site and operating dumpers, rollers, or similar heavy machinery in a construction environment would be desirable.

* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and quality standards.

* Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.

* Commitment to safety procedures and continuous learning about equipment operation best practices.

Successful candidated must have;

- Indate valid CSCS Card

- Thames Tideway induction

- EUSR is desirable but not essential
