GCSE Core Subjects Tutor

Your Next Tutoring Opportunity

We're looking for GCSE Core Subjects Tutors to support children and young people across Wiltshire through high-quality 1:1 tuition.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll help students who require alternative educational provision, providing personalised support in English, Maths, and Science. Many learners have experienced barriers to education and benefit from a tutor who can adapt lessons to their individual needs, rebuild confidence, and encourage positive progress.

This flexible role is ideal for education professionals who enjoy working closely with students and making a direct impact on their educational journey.

Location: Wiltshire
Subjects: GCSE English, Maths & Science
Start Date: September
Hours: Flexible
Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour
Type: 1:1 Tuition

Requirements

Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, mentoring, learning support, or similar roles
Strong knowledge of one or more GCSE core subjects
Ability to deliver engaging and personalised learning sessions
Experience supporting students with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel within your local area

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
ADHD
Anxiety and school avoidance
EHCPs and additional educational needsYour support will help learners overcome barriers, increase engagement, and work towards their academic goals.
