James' career saw him starting as an accounts assistant. Five years later, he has progressed through being a Senior Accountant, Product Manager, Commercial Manager to his current position of Senior Commercial Manager for SJD Accountancy. 

In addition to his impressive career in accountancy, James has qualifications with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT). He also has a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance.

He has also been a panelist at a series of UK events, participating in discussions and answering questions from journalists to help advise UK contractors and freelancers. This includes events for the Association of Independent Professionals and the Self-employed (IPSE), such as National Freelancer Day 2019.
